Crosswords and Quick-Seat Chair

If you’re like me, you love doing crossword puzzles. For years before the Quick-Seat Chair came into my life, I would often see the crossword clue “four letter word for elevator person,” and I would be absolutely stumped. And, I’d have to get out my trusty, dog-eared crossword solver dictionary to find out what it was. Once I filled in the word, I would forget it because it wouldn’t come back around again for a long old time. What’s the word? OTIS. Elisha Graves Otis was the inventor of the elevator in 1852, a very uplifting invention to be sure, and pun intended. But it wasn’t until 1853 that he also invented the ‘secret sauce’ that would ensure safety should the elevator ropes break. He invented a special device that would keep the elevator from plummeting to the ground. Funny thing, how many times have I been in an elevator in my long life, probably saw the name “OTIS” and then, out of my mind it went. Now, because I’m very acquainted with elevators in my connection to Quick-Seat Chair, that I always know the answer when it shows up in a crossword, although, Boggle-gram doesn’t recognize “OTIS” as a word, but who knows maybe after this blog they will.

Naturally, now when I see an elevator I think of the Quick-Seat Chair, which was invented and patented in 2013. What’s that old song from the 1950’s television series Hit Parade? Love & Marriage! Yes, Quick-Seat Chairs and elevators go together like Love & Marriage. Together they create the perfect environment for waiting for the elevator, and riding in it. A place to sit for your weary feet and lower back. We know because Quick-Seat Chairs have been a huge success when working in conjunction with elevators especially in medical complexes such as hospitals, or schools, factories, military installations and retail stores. Most of the ambulatory population may think that they won’t need to sit, but even those of us who rock wall climb, hike, go on archaeology digs or simply just shop too long for one day, can have an unexpected bout of low-back pain and simply just need to sit down. It’s a fact.

Far too many stores have absolutely no place to sit anywhere inside or outside for their patrons and that should be corrected because the customer is always right and further, the customer always knows best what is needed at the store. If you frequent a department store regularly and there is no place to sit, you can always make a suggestion to the management about Quick-Seat Chairs, and become one of our Ambassadors. The Ambassador form is on our website.  Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be doing a crossword puzzle, while relaxing on a Quick-Seat Chair,  and it will ask you “What is an 8 letter word for a safe place to sit that opens easily from the wall?” You’ve got it!
