Creating Special Places with Quick-Seat Chair

Quick-Seat Chairs have a knack for being able to insinuate themselves into unique spaces while adding their own special quality. Take, for instance, when people decide to downsize from their larger homes or living spaces but still want to enjoy the activities they had before. Such is the case with a client who recently moved from her large condo to a smaller retirement home. She’s been an artist her whole life, both professionally and for her own enjoyment. But now, in the new two-bedroom retirement home there has been no room for her former art studio. This was indeed sad. They needed a guest room for out-of-town family that would occasionally visit, but then the rest of the year the room would just be unused. Finally, that little artistic light-bulb went on and quite a creative solution appeared when re-imagining it as an art studio.
It took a little walking around the room, looking at it from every angle, and taking into consideration the doors and windows. Next, she made a floor plan, and listed some pros and cons about how to keep the room available for an occasional guest, yet be available as a daily art studio. Would both worlds collide? Or, could both worlds find harmony in the single space? She gathered some home style magazines, looked at furniture, made a list of what was essential for an active studio, measured out floor space, figured out the most space efficient way to store art supplies and provide for a guest closet. Then she did an internet search for space-saving ideas and found the Quick-Seat Chair website and our Pinterest page. Eureka. The Quick-Seat Chair would solve some seating problems and it also gave her the idea to replace the existing king-size bed with a queen-size Murphy bed with storage on both sides. It took lots of hauling, shoving and moving things out and then seeing where the art table, would work. Voila! Problem solved. The new art studio is buzzing with activity. She’s now got beautiful artfully designed jewelry in local gift shops and is happily working away making more creations. That’s the magic of Quick-Seat Chairs.
